Stones Trace
My husband took me to a place I had never been this weekend and I had the most wonderful time. Stones Trace was awesome! Put simply it was the towns pioneer days. I got awesome ideas for how to make my own soaps and salves. Some combinations of smells I would never have thought of. I really liked the orange and cloves scented soap. I hadn't even thought about putting cloves in soap but it gives it a cinnamon sweet scent that is just wonderful.
The people that are selling things there also have to camp there. A lot of time they would just lay a blanket on the ground right in front of their tents and sell their items on the blanket. People were selling hand made quilts and hand made dream catchers and lots of other cast iron and wood carves items. There was a fur tent that I had trouble going through. Seeing the furs with faces creeped me out. The blacksmith shop was pretty cool as well.

The food was wonderful and the smells of people turning a whole ham or a whole turkey over the fire made the smells even better.
Over all the whole experience was absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to do some of the things I saw there at home for myself!!
